Volcker has mixed feelings about regulatory progress

Former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker sees a regulatory overhaul as only about half finished, according to remarks he made this week. Volcker said politics and differences between regulators had slowed down the writing of some rules, including the Volcker rule. He was, however, encouraged by increased international regulatory cooperation, citing work between the U.S. and the U.K. after the financial crisis.
