Wash. state students must pass new math exam to graduate

Students in Washington state this year will have to pass a math exam -- besides exams in reading and writing -- to earn a high-school diploma. However, with graduation approaching, many students are estimated not to have passed the math exams. The most recent data show that 8,000 students across the state had passed writing and reading exams, but not the math test.
