Will J.C. Penney's future include a sale?

The news Monday that Myron Ullman would take back the CEO post at J.C. Penney after a 25% drop in annual sales drove the company to fire Ron Johnson spurred speculation about what comes next for the retailer. While Ullman will have to make choices about which of Johnson's changes to keep, shareholder Bill Ackman may push for a sale or a deal to take the retailer private as it regroups.
