Retailers keep focus local

With consumers saying local food is more important to them than organic, retailers are increasing efforts to source and market local food. Piggly Wiggly Carolina unveiled the tagline "Local Since Forever." Rouses Markets is touting Louisiana food at sampling events. Whole Foods Market invited farmers to bring samples to an open house before opening a South Carolina store.
