Amenity bags are made to woo fliers

Airlines offer upscale amenity bags in premium class, and they want fliers to take them along. Turkish Airlines offers a Crabtree & Evelyn iPad case that can also be used as a makeup bag, for example. "The amenity bag is one of the only things you can legally take off the plane and remember and use afterward," said Simon Ward, founder of TravelPlus Media, which hosted the third annual Airline Amenity Bag Awards in Hamburg. Emirates and Etihad won for best female and male first-class amenity bags, respectively.
