Calif. city council sets homelessness, skate park as budget priorities

The San Luis Obispo, Calif., City Council has begun its budgeting process and has named homelessness and projects including a skate park as priorities for the 2013-15 budget. An initial plan for the budget, which will be voted on in June, allocates more than $324,000 to addressing homelessness and $1.2 million to building the skate park, which has been in the works for decades.
