The House Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing on several bills aimed at regulation of derivatives. The measures should be dropped, The New York Times' editorial board argues. "As it turns out, Representative Jeb Hensarling, Republican of Texas and the new head of the Financial Services Committee, may be the man to stop them," the board writes.
