Gov. Cuomo wants extra mortgage help for Sandy's victims

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo asked the Federal Housing Finance Agency, the regulator for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to prevent homeowners who were victims of superstorm Sandy from being hit with higher monthly payments when they start making mortgage payments again. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have already told lenders and loan-processing firms to give homeowners up to a year during which they don't have to make payments.
