Groups raise concerns about out-of-pocket spending

Patient and consumer advocacy groups including the American Heart Association and American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network sent letters to HHS and the Labor and Treasury departments, urging them to implement the Affordable Care Act's out-of-pocket spending caps for all insurance plans in 2014. HHS gave some employers and insurers an extra year to comply with the law because they offer separately managed medical, drug and dental plans.
