Hydrous ethanol prices in Brazil snap 5-week losing streak

The price of hydrous ethanol in Sao Paulo, Brazil, rose to $2.38 per gallon in the week that ended Tuesday, up nearly 1% from the week before and ending a five-week losing streak, according to think tank Cepea. Increased demand after the Easter break and reduced sugarcane crushing rates due to above-average rainfall in the center-south region helped push prices higher, Cepea said.
