Idaho city council creates rule for carbon monoxide detector

The Meridian, Idaho, City Council has changed the building code to require a carbon monoxide detector in every unit that has natural gas appliances in an apartment building or some other multifamily dwelling. The ordinance, meant to protect against carbon monoxide poisoning, went into effect immediately.
