The Baldwin County Planning and Zoning Board in Alabama has tabled Apex Wind Energy's proposal to set up a meteorological tower. "We respect the decision of the commission. ... We look forward to working with both the county commission and the county planning and zoning commission to get the project responsibly developed in South Baldwin County," said Apex development manager Wade Barnes. The company is expected to resubmit the proposal to the Baldwin County Commission after Aug. 19, when the county's 180-day freeze on wind projects ends.
