Obama takes conservative approach to special education funding

Funding for special education programs remained almost flat in President Barack Obama's budget proposal released last week, reporter Christina A. Samuels writes in this blog post. The budget calls for $11.6 billion for students with disabilities ages 3 to 21 served under Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and $463 million for infant and toddler programs provided under Part C of the IDEA.
