Panda Express aims to boost nutrition of fried rice

Panda Express has replaced the white rice in its fried rice with the higher-fiber and more nutrient-rich brown version of the grain, as part of the 1,500-store chain's 30th anniversary rebranding campaign that includes menu upgrades. The chain also plans to replace the noodles in its chow mein with whole grain noodles, said chief marketing officer Glenn Lunde.
