Report: Bank credit and small-business exports are connected

There is a link between lending and small-business exports, according to a report from the Small Business Administration's Office of Advocacy. The report says small businesses depend more on bank credit to export than do larger companies. The SBA launched the study when it found a sharp decline in small-business exports during the financial crisis. Meanwhile, lending to small businesses has increased this year, the first gain in 10 quarters.
