Researchers map distribution of dengue infections

Every year, there are about 390 million dengue infections, but many of them do not cause severe symptoms, according to new research. Most of these infections occurred in Asia -- India especially -- in 2010, the year the researchers studied. Sixteen percent of the cases were in Africa and 14% were in the Americas, mainly in Brazil and Mexico.
