State-owned firms made up most China wind projects in 2012

Of the roughly 1,300 companies that invested in or built wind projects in China in 2012, 1,000 were state-owned enterprises or had links to them, according to China's National Energy Administration. China Guodian was the top player last year, with an overall installed generating capacity of 13 million kilowatts, followed by China Huaneng Group and China Datang, the agency said.
