Surety helps get Vt. state office project back on track

Work has resumed on the renovation of a state office building in Vermont that stalled after the original contractor was unable to pay its subcontractors. State officials worked with the surety company to overcome the issue, and crews are back at the site of the $2.3 million project. The renovation, which was originally supposed to be finished by the end of this month, includes a new heating system and enhanced energy efficiency.
