UP's $14M expansion in Texas improves service, lowers costs

Union Pacific's ongoing expansion of its rail infrastructure in Odessa, Texas, is important as "it gives us flexibility in the methods of shipping," said Guy Andrews, Odessa Chamber of Commerce economic development director. "[A]nd it keeps trucks off the road," he added. The project is meant to expand UP's service in the Permian Basin.
