White House targets oil, gas tax incentives in budget plan

The Obama administration's fiscal year 2014 budget proposal introduced Wednesday includes a provision to eliminate billions of dollars in tax incentives enjoyed by oil and natural gas companies. "Increasing our taxes would push oil and natural gas investment overseas and diminish job creation and economic activity here at home," Jack Gerard, president and CEO of the American Petroleum Institute, said in response to the plan.
