NYC restaurateurs say cheers to beer gardens

More New Yorkers have taken to passing up that pricier glass of wine in favor of a cold beer as a result of the recession and the rise of the craft beer industry, a trend that's spurring restaurateurs to launch a new generation of beer gardens in the city. Finding space can prove challenging, but filling the space hasn't been a problem, says Tom Ryan, whose month-old Bierhaus has proven so popular that the establishment had to hire 10 more servers and three more managers than it expected.
