Propane pros protest exclusion from federal alt-fuel proposal

The propane industry is questioning propane's exclusion from a proposed congressional measure designed to wean America off foreign oil. The legislation offers incentives for natural gas vehicles but not propane, which advocates say has advantages over gasoline and natural gas. "By excluding propane autogas vehicles, the legislation ignores an equally useful, abundant, domestic fuel available right now to serve Americans," said Richard Roldan of the National Propane Gas Association.
