Redefining "early adopter" in Maine

A school district in Maine says it will outfit its entire kindergarten class with iPads next year. The Auburn School Committee will spend about $200,000 to put the gadgets -- fitted with a special protective case -- in the hands of 285 5- and 6-year-olds as a learning aid. The children will use the iPads in class and will be allowed to take them home.
