IBM touts PureSystems as a converged platform

IBM's $2 billion PureSystems is intended to support all of a company's storage, server, networking and systems-management solutions on an integrated platform, and is optimized for 150 applications from 125 vendors. The rack system features blade servers and will enable users to set up thousands of virtual machines, IBM says.
