African painted dogs that killed boy moved to new facilities

The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium is relocating the African painted dogs that killed 2-year-old Maddox Derkosh after he fell into their enclosure from an observation deck last fall. "We really want to give the Pittsburgh community an opportunity to heal," said veterinarian Barbara Baker, the zoo's president and CEO. "This particular accident affected us all."
