Colo. DOT's plan to lower 2 miles of I-70 would cost $1.8B

The Colorado Department of Transportation has unveiled a $1.8 billion plan to widen a portion of Interstate 70 in Denver, demolish a bridge and lower two miles of the highway. The project will need to be completed in phases because funding remains a big question. "There will be a lot of different funding solutions that we investigate," said CDOT spokeswoman Mindy Crane.
