Fla. bill that would speed adviser approvals advances

A bill making its way through the Florida Legislature would grant automatic approval to representatives of out-of-state financial firms, allowing them to immediately offer advice to clients. The Financial Services Institute is hailing the bill, which FSI spokesman Chris Paulitz said is "really a nationwide issue ... [affecting] any broker-dealer around the country who has an adviser in Florida."
