Groups ask CMS to drop proposed rule on medical staff

The American Hospital Association along with four other hospital groups called on the CMS to withdraw a proposed rule meant to prevent facilities in some multi-hospital systems from having an integrated, unified personnel. “CMS should enable hospital systems and their affiliated medical staffs to decide, together, what medical staff structure works best for their patients,” the organizations stated.
