Groups: FCC should move forward with diversity research

Before he leaves office, Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski should direct the agency to launch a series of diversity reviews, according to The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and about a dozen other groups. The research in question is separate from a study authorized to look into the impact on diversity of proposed ownership rule changes. "This is a chance for Chairman Genachowski to ensure that our media reflects the diversity of our nation," said Wade Henderson, president and CEO of the leadership conference.
