Longshoremen vote to approve 6-year labor contract

The International Longshoremen's Association voted overwhelmingly to approve a new six-year labor contract. The approval came as a relief to retailers "who have been on pins-and-needles for the past year due to the possibility of a supply chain disruption along the 14 East and Gulf Coast container ports," said Jonathan Gold, NRF's vice president for supply chain and customs policy.
