Nvidia packs PC graphics power into mobile devices

Nvidia on Thursday introduced its next-generation Kepler Mobile processor, a chip designed to run DirectX 11 graphics -- normally limited to desktop computers -- on smartphones and tablets. In reducing both the chip's size and power consumption, engineers have enabled mobile devices to add high-end graphics such as advanced shadows and lighting, Nvidia said.
