Report notes progress in advanced, cellulosic biofuels

Advanced and cellulosic fuel technologies have grown globally since 2010, the International Energy Agency Bioenergy Task 39 group said in a report. The production capacity of lignocellulosic biofuels has risen to 140,000 metric tons, triple the levels seen in 2010. The group said the purpose of the report is "to monitor the multi-facetted development, add transparency to the sector and thus support the development and deployment of advanced biofuels production technologies."
