EPA regulations push price of cement higher, say some producers

Some cement producers say new emissions regulations from the Environmental Protection Agency are forcing up the price of cement-based products. The jump in price for cement-based products, such as ready-mix concrete, could cost jobs, say some in the industry as the costs are passed on to consumers. The new regulations set emission standards for such things as mercury, particulate matter and nitrous oxides.
