Ethanol is good for energy security, fuel diversity, exec says

Corn-based ethanol is helping create a diverse fuel base, which the country needs to lessen the impact of high oil prices, according to William Jones, chairman and co-founder of Pacific Ethanol. "Ethanol is about energy security for the country and diversity in our fuels," Jones said. In addition, "corn-based ethanol is a foundation and bridge to cellulosic ethanol, which we are working on and many others are working on," he said.
