Nearly three-fourths of U.S. population has access to local recycling, study says

Almost 75% of the U.S. population is able to recycle plastic bags and other plastic wraps in their local communities, according to a Moore Recycling Associates study. "Plastic bags and wraps are a valuable resource that should be recycled after use. We're thrilled that so many Americans have access to recycling, and we look forward to working to increase consumer awareness, so we can recycle even more of this material," said Steve Russell, vice president for plastics at the American Chemistry Council.
