German CEOs under fire over cushy pension deals

Executives in Germany are facing criticism over their retirement packages, which are typically on terms far more generous than those awarded to regular employees. Companies see pension payments as "an unregulated area in which some executives have essentially secured a second salary for themselves," says Ulrich Hocker of the German Protective Society for Security Holdings.
