House hearing focuses on in-state tuition for vets

Officials from the Department of Veterans Affairs testified Thursday about proposed legislation that would push public universities to offer in-state tuition to all veterans. The bill would be difficult to implement and could cause some veterans to lose out on GI Bill benefits, said one official. Several lawmakers and representatives of veterans' groups expressed support for the bill.
