Meat dollar sales increase, but consumption declines

Dollar sales of meat and poultry continue to rise, even though consumption has been dropping for the past 10 years, according to a report from Packaged Facts. The market is expected to reach $98 billion in 2017, up from $85 billion in 2012, for reasons that include a larger population and a growing emphasis on value-added products.
