Mhealth tools developer unveils tablet-based ultrasound system

Mobisante has unveiled MobiUS TC1, a tablet version of its smartphone-enabled ultrasound system. Both the tablet and smartphone versions are capable of sending images using Wi-Fi, but the tablet version can offer additional probes and a better frame rate. "Some [of our users] are using both the smartphone and the [tablet] versions," said Mobisante co-founder and CTO David Zar. "The tablet might be set up in the exam room, while the smartphone version can be in their pocket while they're wandering around."
