A proposal that would overhaul U.S. immigration laws could be unveiled in the Senate next Tuesday after lawmakers reached agreement on wages and limits on guest-worker visas. The bill is expected to provide a path to citizenship to undocumented residents after border security is enhanced and employers adopt the E-Verify system. The Senate Judiciary Committee is likely to begin voting on the measure the week of May 6.
