Google's Gmail under increased attack

The attacks against Google for its planned free e-mail system are intensifying. The latest salvo comes from a California state senator concerned with privacy rights who is drafting legislation that would bar companies from scanning users' e-mail content to provide them with targeted ads, which Google's Gmail would do.
