Air Force prepares to make cuts

Michigan's Selfridge Air National Guard Base, home to 44 Guard and Reserve units, is one of the installations facing cuts as officials seek to comply with orders to slash budgets. Air Force officials have also been instructed to shift operational focus from support for ground troops to conducting more long-range missions.
