Pennsylvania school district plans multimillion dollar overhaul

The Allentown School District in Pennsylvania plans to borrow nearly a quarter-billion dollars in an ambitious effort to improve its 22 schools, which are badly in need of repair. The schools are overflowing with students and when work gets under way next year, improvements should include ventilation and air-conditioning in each school and other improvements.
