Conn. lawmakers offer compromise on proposed siting rules

Connecticut lawmakers who want to tighten the state's wind-siting rules suggested a compromise that would exempt BNE Energy's two wind projects if the company agrees to a new set of regulations. The compromise would mean that BNE would not be delayed while guidelines are finalized, which could take up to 18 months and jeopardize the firm's application for federal wind-power tax incentives.
