How to break through the million-dollar plateau

Many women-owned businesses hit a plateau just under an annual revenue of $1 million. In part that's because running a larger business requires a different set of skills, experts say. "You have to be more of a business manager, going through statements and reports and projections," said Stacey Stratton, whose company is on track to hit the $1 million mark this year. Experts here give tips on reaching that level as well as getting past milestones such as $5 million in sales.
