Publix holds its private label up against national brands

Publix will launch a campaign in all of its stores that offers shoppers a buy-one-get-one-free deal to compare national brands with its own private-label product, in hopes of getting consumers to switch to the Publix version. The move risks alienating some of its vendors, a marketing expert said.
