LivingSocial wants to know if timing's right for new mobile offers

LivingSocial has launched a trial in Washington of mobile coupon offers that are timed to a specific portion of the day. "This new mobile initiative will help drive customers through the doors exactly when needed," John Bax, chief financial officer of LivingSocial, said at an industry event in San Francisco. "There are businesses that don't need traffic at a certain time and others that might want to offer deals because business is slow."
