Multichannel providers, studios embrace premium VOD

Comcast, a leader in the industry when it comes to getting newly released films into the video-on-demand pipeline quickly, has added Warner Bros.' "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I," to its VOD queue. The move comes as a consortium of multichannel service providers and studios prepares a new ad effort in support of watching movies at home.
