FracFocus could be used in federal chemicals-disclosure laws

State lawmakers are supporting the use of FracFocus.org when regulating chemical disclosure in hydraulic fracturing, and the federal government may also adopt it. "If we end up adopting [FracFocus] as part of our process, that would provide greater consistency across the states. And the industry would be pleased with that, instead of having two different systems they have to report to," said Bob Abbey, director of the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management.
