ABIM Foundation awards grants to support Choosing Wisely

The American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation has given grants to ASNC and other medical organizations in support of programs designed to reduce unnecessary procedures and tests. The grants are expected to broaden the scope of the ABIM Foundation's Choosing Wisely campaign. Over the past year, 25 medical specialty groups including ASNC have released lists of procedures and tests that may be overused or used inappropriately, hoping to prompt discussions between doctors and patients.
